Help on VMIC communication using labview.

Hi currently I doing a project using the labview to read and write to the VMIC reflective memory(GE, model: PCI 5587A). I have tested using the NI Measurement & Automation software (below is the section I’m using for my objective).

NI Measurement & Automation software

a)      (Open VISA test panel, Advanced, low level I/O –map Address )

b)      (Open VISA test panel, Advanced, low level I/O –Peak/Poke )

Question:

Is the above NI Measurement & Automation software written in labview? If yes can advice where to get the program block diagram of the above(a&b) in labview. So that I can implement it onto my own labview program. If No can advice how to read and write to the VMIC reflective memory on the labview?

Thanks alots

No, MAX is not written in LabVIEW but you have all of the functions you need on the Instrument I/O>VISA>VISA Advanced>Register Access palette.

So that i can study the VI how it work.? or do you have a sample program of using those VI to do the basic write or read data to share with me.

If you have LabVIEW, you have the VISA palette.

I don't know if there are any examples. I'm posting from my phone. You can look yourself - Help> Find Examples.

Does anyone know where I can find any of these VMIC cards?  Any condition would be acceptable.
