HP 16550a command err: MACHx - unknown command

Using NI supported instrument driver for HP 16550a logic analyzer state and timing module on GPIB interface.  Access to module functions (Read or Query) require MACHx command.  Instrument error says that MACHx is an invalid command.  Also, driver error code indicates that instrument is not set up for this function.  Data read, which does not require MACHx, does work so communications are fine.

Anyone ever run into this scenerio?

      By MACHx, do you mean MACH1 or MACH2?  What exact VIs are causing this error?  How is your hardware setup?  Are you doing a reset when you initialize your hardware with the driver?
