GPIB board error?

Hi
I am writing a program in Visual C++ and Measurement Studio to control 3 instruments hooked up to one GPIB board in a computer. My problem is, as soon as the program initializes and starts to talk to the first instrument on the GPIB, the computer get a blue screen error, and I had no choice but to restart the computer. This problem just happens intermittently though. The message on blue screen error is in the attached file. Have you ever had this problem before? What should I do to solve this problem? Do you think flushing GPIB buffer (if there's any) will help?

Sorry I forget to attach the blue screen error file. Here it is

Try updating to the latest NI-488.2 driver, version 2.3. This driver has many improvements which ought to fix the blue screen problem that you are encountering.

I am using Measurement Studio version 1.0.1 (Base Package for Windows 2000/NT/9X). If I update the GPIB card with the NI-488.2 driver version 2.3, will it work with my Measurement Studio version 1.0.1?

Hi Irene,

Unfortunately that is not something that has been tested. There's a high probability that it would work as we're pretty careful to keep our API the same throughout 488.2 versions, however I can't say for certain whether or not it would work. If for any reason it is not successful, you can uninstall the NI-488.2 v2.3 and reinstall your current version.

Either way, I'm going to do what I can to set up a system on my end to see if it will work. If you would do the same, and let us know if you have any success that would be great. If some parts work and others don't, hopefully we can trouble shoot it from there. Good luck!
