Hi all,

 

 

I am using Yokogawa WT 500. I am able to communicate through GPIB and Ethernet but not 1 by 1( I mean 1st gpib and then ethernet). If i communicate  in GPIB  the communication is getting established.. if immediately communicate using Ethernet following  error insufficient source error is comming pls help me out*( The Ip address iam sending as resourse is correct)

There is no restriction in using GPIB/ethernet to an instrument simultaneously unless the instrument doesn't handle it. You need to check with Yokogawa.

The Communcations Interface User's Manual states that both interfaces cannot be used simultaneously. (page 3-2).  It does not give any information about how fast it can switch from one mode to the other.  It is likely that you would need to switch from remote to local in GPIB and then from local back to remote in Ethernet.  This is probably not very fast.

WT500 can connect at the same time, GPIB and Ethernet. You can run each command.

Switch is not required. At the same time performs only one command. Run the command order submitted. When you send a command from each line at the same time may be conflict.
