I would like to use a NI GPIB-USB adapter with Win 98SE to download HPGL pen plotter output from various HP test instruments. The program would act as a virtual pen plotter and wait for me to press the "plot" button on an instrument. Then, it would communicate with the instrument as if it is a real plotter. At the end of the data transfer, I would like to save the HPGL file to disk.
I am not a programmer and would prefer a working solution. I am capable of executing individual commands through NI "IBIC" or the "Measurement & Automation" application, but I would have to know the exact sequence of commands, rather than a general outline. My preference though is for a Win program.
Thanks,
Vladan
