GPIB Analyzer

Has anyone come up with a means of communicating
with the GPIB+ Analyzer components, from their own
code? There appears to be no published API for the
Analyzer hardware, and I need to incorporate its
features into my application!

Forgive me if, as a working engineer, I take "not possible" as a challange to at least understand more!

Clearly, the Analyzer utility does exactly this. Given the necessary information, there is no reason why my code could not.

Where can I go from here, to learn what I need?
How does the Plus hardware differ from the non-Plus? Are there undocumented hooks in the NI 488.2 drivers or libraries
to access the added functions, or is all the work done in-line, within Analyzer?

How much can be done with the "standard" calls? It appears that NI-Spy could come close to what I need (monitoring,
capturing, and time-tagging traffic on a GPIB bus, without directly participating in the communication with my interface.)
Since Spy runs on the non-Plus inter
faces, does it also use the basic function calls?

Let's try to keep the communication open!

Did you ever get any further response? If so, I'd appreciate your sharing any additional information you may have.
