Error message appears when using the LoadPull instrument API - 'External Control option not enabled'

Hello guys,

I'm trying to work with the API (using the MLibSnp.h/Snp.lib files) in order to control the tuners of the LoadPull instrument. Each time I call a method, an error appears – 'External Control option not enabled' and nothing happens. This error occurs all the time when using any method and even when launching the sample program which uses this API.

This instrument is manuf. by Maury Microwave. 

Can anyone please advise ?

I need a little more information to understand what is happening in your set-up.

1) What is the model of the instrument you are connecting to?

2) What method of communication are you using with the Maury Microwave instrument (usb, ethernet, GPIB 488.2, serial, etc)?

3) What is the API are you using to communicate with the instrument? Is this an API / driver that was found on ni.com/idnet?

4) How are you programming the device (LabVIEW, CVI, SignalExpress,etc)?

Thank you for responding, actually I just got a reply from the company - this is a licensing issue, nothing more (we are missing a license).
