Any way to use NI488.2 on Lynx?

Hi,

Is there a version of NI488.2 that will be available for LynxOS? I have a
new client that is using target hardware to 'test itself', and one of the
things it has to do is control a HP8648 Frequency generator.

My client currently uses a NI GPIB-PCI+ card in a Linux box (RH7.2), and has
a compiled 'gpib server' hack that is called across the Ethernet network by
a 'client' hack that runs on the LynxOS/target hardware.

For now, I've replaced their server hack with a Labview vi that offers the
same functionality on the PCI-based Linux system, but this will mean yet
another PC to maintain in the factory. I would really like to use a
ENET-GPIB/100 across the network, and just control the hardware via the lynx
target directly. Can you offe
r any suggestions? I really want to move my
client away from all their 'in-house hacks' to standard, stable NI software
that can be easily supported. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated.

Bill,

Did you have any luck making the NI488.2 go on LynxOS?
