Agilent scope-data collection

Hi,Guys,
Good afternnon,

I am working with agilent scope-infiium,I have some problems with data collection,
I want to decide no. of data points collected.

There is a  "memory depth" in the setup option of scope front panel,I put number 20,000  ,hope can get back 20,000 data points (by using ":WAV : DATA?" common),but what I get is 60,000 or 59,999. sometimes can get 20,000,next data i run my program again, the result changed.

any ideals?

Hello nicosg,
What model number is your Agilent scope?  We have IVI, and LabVIEW Instrument Drivers available for the 8000 series (which I think might be the same thing as Infiniium.)  The driver will have some helpful examples that will most likely do something close to what you are looking for and you can customize them to suit your specific needs.  If that route is not palitable, I recommend that you look at the manuals for your instrument and see what the expected behavior for ":WAV:DATA?" is.  That might answer your question.

Please let us know if those don't take care of your issue (or if they do).

Cheers,

NathanT
