My company is having a problem with using the AT-GPIB/TNT (Plug and Play) cards under Windows XP. The card is listed under Device Manager in Windows with no problems or conflicts. The Event Viewer does not report any problems for the card. But when we use the Scan for Instruments function, it says there is a problem with the card, and to use the Troublesooting Wizard from NI488.2. So when we run that it says the device failed, but then just opens up the help file and tells us to look at the Event Viewer and check that there are no resource conflicts. We have tried that and the device is working fine in Windows, so the last thing the help file said was to contact NI, so here I am
🙂We have tried loading the NI488.2 software from the TestStand 3.1 disc (which comes with NI488.2 2.20 software version I believe) and we have also tried the newer NI488.2 2.30 software with the same results.
This card is listed as supported under Windows XP, but we can not get it to work. Please help out, Thanks.
p.s.
This same GPIB card worked under Windows 2000 on the same computer before the hard drive was reformated and WinXP was put on it.
