Hello to all the forum my name is Albert and I wanted to see if I can help with the following problem:
I want to make a communication from a Plc (phoenix contact) with labview via the OPC server, but my plc does not come default in the list of plc's featuring the OPC server, is there any way my Plc appear on this list or there a generic option that allows me to communicate?, I hope I can help.

Hi Albert,
There is a custom interface (2012 support only) driver that you can create with the OPC servers. I have never done it but it looks to be what you need to do.
I will follow up with the PSE that supports that product to confirm this is the only route available. I the interim I recommend reading the section of the OPC help about custom inferfaces

Hi Albert,
I would look at your controller and see if there is another communication protocol that can be used, such as modbus. That will be easier than creating an OPC server.
Creating a custom interface will be more in depth and I recommend that you make a service request at ni.com/support if you must use OPC or if the PLC doesn't support a different communication protocol.

Hi Albert,
The DSC module does support modbus TCP. You should be able to find an example here and in the DSC shipping examples.
AE, if you are monitoring this thread can you help Albert with any follow up questions?
