Hi Thanks for the upgrade of VIMP Package (1.0.0.8), but before installing it, i want to know if it's down compatible with my LV2011 version.
In documentation, you speak about suppression of depreceate variantDataType Vi, but in LV 2011 those vi's are always compatible.
Does they stay in LV2011?
Thanks

Based on the package info, you should be OK on older versions of LabVIEW.

Eric_BOB,
I just installed on 2013 as a test, no problems with the depricated VIs. However, you may notice the two new palettes (Progress Bar & Shortcut Menu Plug-In Support) for the 2015 additions are empty.

The new version of the package (1.0.0.8) has been tested on all supported LabVIEW versions (2009 through 2015). It will only remove the variant VIs in LabVIEW 2015 or later. The only new hidden gems exposed in the 1.0.0.8 package were added in LabVIEW 2015, so even though it doesn't hurt anything to install the new package to LabVIEW 2014 or earlier, it won't get you anything new either (other than the two empty palettes already mentioned).
I will be making an official post to this group (hopefully later today) detailing the new 2015 hidden gems.
