Problem with Shared Variables on Compact Fieldpoint

I am having trouble with shared variables deployed to a cFP-2120.The shared variable is working correctly on the host, and I can read shared variables back from the Controller. However, the host is unable to write network shared variables to the controller. I also have other problems with Labview 8, one is that Labview shuts down with a Windows error when it cannot connect to the RT target. If I start up Labview again, the host connects normally without any re-boot. Also when I shut down my pc I also get a Windows error indicating a problem with tagsrvr.exe, which is probably related to my shared variable problem. I have tried 2 different p.c.s and have also tried running the fieldpoint with no Variable Engine manager to no avail. Anybody seen any of these probs?! Help would be very much appreciated.
