I still experience this feature of vanishing and reappearing images from time to time. And Darin.K also notes this effect…

I can't see my snippet that I uploaded just one or two minutes ago…

It also doesn't reappear when I try the edit my post (as Darin suggested): the editor just shows an icon indicating a "broken image file"…
