Sort by rating

I think it would be nice to be able to sort posts by their rating.  This would let you pull up a list of all the threads that were rated well for one reason or another... I like to read various posts that receive good ratings for the tidbits of knowledge they contain, but then without being able to sort that means there may be a few per page of 50 posts.... lots of navigation work to browse through them.

Great suggestion.  I will add this to the list of feature requests, but in the meantime have you experimented with the Advanced Search option yet?

You do have to have at least one keyword in your search, but you can filter your responses by the ratings they have received AND you can sort by ratings once you have the results.  To do that, you just need to click on the Ratings column.  When the little arrow is pointing down, then they are sorted descending and the higher ratings will be at the top of the list.

That's nice... searching for 'a' pulls up a nice list of posts.  I'm usually not searching for stuff in particular when I'm looking through highly rated posts (probably why I have never run into that feature).

The other thing is that generally speaking, the forum is already sorted by date, which I hope would stay intact when sorting by rating.  Your method of searching for posts and then sorting by rating however won't let you perform a secondary sort by date.

Oh well.. can't have everything.  Thanks for the tip... very nice.
