One workaround you might try is to put your favorite links into one of your macros so that you don't have to go find them always.

The usage scenario that got me thinking on this was penning a nugget or other longer document referancing several specific theads or posts!  The Message option > Bookmark or  Topic option> bookmark would allow a temporary (or permanent and organizable) collection of resources with even more flexability than tags.  Being able to Drop those links directly from an ogranized collection could have some real value.
