Cursor disappears completely while over the edit window

Since this morning, as soon as my mouse moves over any edit windows (subject, body text, etc.), the cursor disappears completely. Its flying completely blind to e.g. select text or pick an insert point.

I will try on a different computer later, maybe it's just me. Just wondering if others see the same.

For example if I move the mouse vertically on the web page, it is an arrow while outside the edit window, but completely disappears when hovering over the edit window, then reappears when exiting on the other side. In the past it would turn into a text cursor.

Edit: It seems it was a temporary problem where it would turn into a invisible white cursor (on white background) barely visible when hovering over the black part of text.. Now, after 20 minutes of use, it turned black again.

I'm not seeing that this morning, but at the same time, something is not loading correctly. I wonder if they are connected. I am researching both issues. Thank you for letting us know.

Actually it looks like it's my windows 11 machine and not a problem isolated to the forum site. For example if I hover over the URL window in chrome where the background is light grey, I see the text cursor turn white too. Here I still see it because the field is not white.

(Same problem in edge and chrome)

I am in the middle of an online meeting and will try to reboot later.

Yes, page looks fine, but it is still spinning forever, "waiting for forums.ni.com".

Here's how it looks when hovering over the search window (youtube video).

Also note that Youtube changed their URL format, and the forum no longer accepts the valid video link. (... and how does it know that I a wearing "shorts"? 😄 )

Also note that the video insert tool is way too wide and way too small vertically! (Consider this a bug report!)

Hi @altenbach,

The spinning cursor issue should now be resolved. I will take a look at the bugs around inserting a YouTube video. Thank you for reporting it.

Hi there,

We heard back from the vendor and they have indicated that Shorts will not be supported on the platform for now.

Casual wear is probably appropriate when working at NI, but not that casual.
