A few bugs with Autosave Drafts

  1. If you begin an "Edit Message" session and begin typing your edits, and autosave happens, and your mind wanders some other direction and you decide not to edit your post, and you go back the next day to that "Autosaved Draft" to see if you want to keep it or not, you just get a message that says "Edit Time has Expired". You cannot view the contents of that Autosaved Draft, so it might as well not autosave.
  2. As I am typing this brand new post, it says I have an Autosaved Draft from June 28... wwhhhhaaaa...? (See screenshot below)
  3. Overall, I'm a huge fan of the Autosave Draft! It's been working great for me, and I have not thrown my monitor through the wall in weeks due to a lost post. Just reporting these bugs to get them in the system, although they're not "urgent" priority.

Thanks Jack, I will see about reproducing these issues and report them.

I just run into problem (1) too. If the edit time has expired, it should still show the possibly profound (but probably not ;)) saved text so we can copy it and post it in a new message if it still applies to the ongoing discussion.

A cosmetic/usability bug using IE8:

When you attempt to delete an unwanted Autosaved Draft, the "Confirm Yes/No" box appears outside the current window, forcing the horizontal scrollbar to be shown and requiring the user to scroll to click an option:
