National Instruments USB-8486 Issues using FieldMate

I had been using a NI PCMCIA-FB2 to communicate to FieldMate using a F11 fieldbus power hub with no issues until the cord broke to the card.  I wanted a more robust system, so I choose the USB-8486 using the same hardware setup excluding the PCMCIA card.  I uninstalled the old NI software, and installed the new software.  When starting FieldMate, it sees a device, but get a "no response from device" message.  Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
