Overview

This VI demonstrates a LabVIEW front panel that was designed to graphically display the steps included in the paint manufacturing process.

Description

This VI by itself is not functionally useful to others.  It is however, a great example of how custom controls can be used to design front panels that are attractive and intuitive for end users.  This VI uses various Tank and Boolean controls to show the composition and volume of liquids in various containers throughout the paint manufacturing process.  This VI is using simulated data, but it would be useful to incorporate into a real world factory control system.

Requirements

  • LabVIEW 2012(or compatible)

Steps to Implement or Execute Code

  1. Download paint final.vi
  2. Click the Run button
  3. Watch as the various controls update to reflect how much liquid is in each container
