Hi current measurement

Hi,
In the KB Document ID 44BJPPBE that published, I measure the current at 1A and switch back to measure low current (10mA) what is the accuracy that i should get? Can help is it is a general practise to do that?

Thanks for posting on the NI Discussion Forums!  I understand you want to calculate the accuracy of your current measurement.  The method you use to do this will depend on what device you have.  A great resource is the NI Digital Multimeters Help.  Make sure you have NI-DMM driver installed.  Go to Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI-DMM»Documentation»NI Digital Multimeters Help.  Once you have this open, go to Fundamentals»Measurement Quality»Accuracy.  If you have any further questions after reviewing the documentation, please post back.

Thanks for the info.
I wonder if i switch the measurement from 2A in (10S) to 1mA how long do i have to wait for the measurement to reach the accuracy range ?

This will also depend on what DMM you are using.  The specification of interest is Settling Time.  Here is an excerpt from the NI-DMM Help file.
 
"Settling time is the time required for a measurement system to stabilize to a specified accuracy limit."
