problem in ni usb 6009

hi

i m using ni usb 6009 to generate some digital outputs. The problem that i m facing is that my outputs goes high when i connect my usb connector to usb 6009 to power it.....?......but when i run my VI every out put goes normal and work properly.

means that before i run the VI outputs goes high....

what i have to do to rectify the problem.????????????

Hi,

 

What you are seeing is typical behavior. You could however use a pull down resistor to lower the output. I hope that this helps.

plz give the circuit diagram hoe i can use the pull down resistence with ni usb 6009.

Hi,

 

I could not find a diagram but I will try to explain how to in as simple words as possible. All you have to do is connect the channel in question to the ground with a resistor in the middle. Now you must do this with a word of caution. With the USB 6009 this will create a voltage divider and according to how strong of a signal you want to generate it might not be the correct procedure. Some additional things to consider are found on two articles that are on the NI website. The links to these are:
