I want to measure strains of an object by strain gauges. For that, I have to use the NI 9236 modules and the cDAQ 9178 or 9174.
A general question: Can I connect my strain gauges / resistance strain gauges rosettes directly to the module (by the wires) or do I need before a (quarter) bridge circuit (including external voltage source) interconnection and connect that to the module?
Thank you

Hi,
you can connect quarter-bridge sensors directly to the module as it provides a quarter bridge completion on each channel.
