How to read a 8-Bit Signal with USB-6009

Hello!

Is it possible to read a 8-bit input signal with the USB-6009 ? Are all the digital inputs read simultaneously at the same time or is there a time offset between each input?

Does anybody have an idea about the possible differences in time?

Yes, you can do a port read to read 8 bits at the same time. What software are you using? With LabVIEW, there are a couple of shipping examples. Open the Example Finder and look at Hardware Input and Output>DAQmx>Digital Measurements>Read Dig Chan and Read Dig Port.

I'm using the VI Logger Lite. Is this option also available in this software?

Yes. When you create the task, choose either Line Input and select multiple lines or select Port Input.
