Generate continuous samples with ni 6229

Solved!

Hello Jason,

Thanks for your helping, from now I can generate continuous digital signals. However, I just aware of that, when I would like to change the frequency, I does not make sense on the oscillascop. It is always in same frequecy.

Could you please help me about it?

Thank you,

Best Wishes,

Selcuk

Hi Selcuk,

What is your current setup? What channels do you have your counter and DO coming out of? Are you sure your oscilloscope isn't automatically adjusting for the changed frequency?

Kind Regards,

Jason

Hi Jason,

Thanks very much for your interest.

I attached the figures of my setup. Besides figures, I connected the PFI12 to PFI1 via a wire and I set it up to  clock source advanced timing of digital output as a PFI1 . Also, about the oscillascope, it displays the correct frequecy,

therefore we have tested the frequency effect on the motor, unfortunately we could not observe any changing on it.

 Hopefully, figures and definings will help.

Thank you,

Best Regards,

Selcuk

Hi Selcuk,

I've been looking at this myself in SignalExpress and you can't change the frequency of the digital output task. In order to change the frequency you have to modify the sample rate in the Create Digital Waveform step. Try modifying the sample rate in that step and see if that changes the results.

Kind Regards,

Hi Jason,

The changing sample rate does not make sense on the frequency. Do you have any other idea? Maybe I need to convert this program to Labview classic. However, this programme is quite complicated for me to convert it to Labview classic.

Thanks,

Hi Jason,

I think that analog cont signals and digital one sample signal are enough for me for that time,however, it gives a warning;

Warning 200015 occurred at DAQ Assistant

Possible Reason(s):

Measurements: While writing to the buffer during a regeneration, the actual data generated might have alternated between old data and new data. That is, while the driver was replacing the old pattern in the buffer with the new pattern, the device might have generated a portion of new data, then a portion of old data, and then a portion of new data again.

Reduce the sample rate, use a larger buffer, or refer to documentation about DAQmx Write for information about other ways to avoid this warning.

 I would like to ask you another question: How can I control the sending  signal for analog continuous signal in signal express?  For example I would like to

 send only 50 sample for each loop. or can I use a formula which is controlling the sending data number?

Please let me know which command will be able to do this.

Thank you,

Regards,

Selcuk
