Digital I/O DAQ with hardware timing

Hi

My application requires to generate a test pattern (digital pulse train) and a clock using a USB DAQ. I currently have a USB-6501 without pulse generation facility and I achieve the pulse train by toggling the channel in software. The period of the clock produced is ~2.5s.

Now, I would like to generate the pulse train with a frequency of atleast 1MHz. And the pulse train should be programmed using software.

Whta is next best USB DAQ (min price) I can use and can I use labview signal express to program it

Thanks

Thames

Hello Thames,

All of our devices using DAQmx drivers can be used in SignalExpress. In order to find the best one for your application please go to the following link, where you can select the different sorting options on the left hand side and eliminate devices that do not match your requirements. Once you have brought your options down to a manageable number, then you can check each device's specification summary, detailed spec sheet, or manual for all the relevant details. For most devices you will find that the available timing modes are stated in the Specification tab on their home page, where it will say either "Software", or "Hardware", or both.

I hope this helps.
