Attached is the dialog showing the MATLAB file extension.
I generally load by dragging a file from windows explorer into the navigator tree view.
Today I had success loading a MATLAB file. The only thing I can think of is that I ran the program as an administrator to default my view screen to word wrap. Perhaps running the program as an administrator "finished" the install of the MATLAB data plugin.
