In a simple worksheet, the write module is set to save in the ASCII format with 6 decimal places. However, it is only saving to two decimal places, so instead of .0258, I get .03. Does anyone know how to rectify this situation?
Thanks

Hi,
First, nnsure that all of your channels are configured for 6 decimals in the Write Data Ascii options.
Next, how are you reading the file? Excel? Maybe you need to configure the decimals in Excel? Check by looking at a cell, and observing the value in the entry field at the top of the Excel window.
Confirm by opening the file in Notepad or another text editor.
Even if the data didn't have any digits, it would fill with zero.

7/12/2010 10:32:15.7 0.175872 2.150376
And this is what it looks like in Excel. Note that Excel interprets the time weirdly when it has decimal seconds, and it truncates any value where the decimals are 0.

I enjoy blaming Excel (or any other software!).

yes, the blame game is fun. Especially when it involves microsoft products
