file write

How can I take data, write it to an ascii file then at an arbitrary time in the future write another set of data to the same file?  I keep getting file sharing violation errors.

Hello,

Is this file structure you are working with using the DASYLab software? Or, are you working with LabVIEW? Does you data acquisition work correctly in Measurement and Automation Explorer?

Cheers,

You cannot have the same file opened more than once.

If using DASYLab only, you can APPEND to the file.

You cannot read and write to the same file without a sharing violation.
