Datashuttle/USB 56

I am using an old Datashuttle/USB 56 device with DasyLab and Windows 10 and all is good. I have replaced the laptop with a Windows 11 laptop, loaded all the drivers etc. and the DasyLab program (low sample rate acquisition and differentiation program) recognises the hardware and runs accordingly. The issue I am having is that the program is set to auto run when the laptop is turned on but most of the time the device is not recognised as there is no power getting to the device (green light not on). I have to remove the USB cable from the laptop and plug it back in if this happens then all is good again (sometimes).

Is it likely to be something to do with the USB on the Windows 11 laptop vs Windows 10 or something more sinister? Would an external power supply for the Datashuttle get round the issue?

I have tried using a USB-1608FS-Plus instead of the Datashuttle but it only accepts single ended inputs and the signal appears noisy (not so on the Datashuttle).

Many thanks
