Yeah, why not. All of you must have seen, "Rab ne bana di jodi". Amritsar is shown in that movie. it is famous for Golden temple.

Any festival you name, it is celebrated ther with great pomp and show. 

it has a great historical background attached to it. Famous Jallianwala bagh is also there.

in terms of food items, amritsari food items can be found any where. in south indian hotels, you must have eaten "kulcha". that is from there only
