Hopefully they still have the same atmosphere, music, and entertainment.

I haven't quite figured out how the colors for the bars are assigned. I am not quite sure when you get that darkest bar on the left (kudos, tags, solutions).
And Laura is making us guess on the Left bar
But, It appears that Kudos Given + Kudos Recieved + t(Tags) +s(solution Authored+accepted) >= colorthreshold[4] Is the formula. I still haven't solved for the variables t, s or ColorThreshold[4]

Yes I realize that but there doesn't appear to be any type of weighting factor applied. A person who has 10 kudos in 1000 posts appears to be considered the same as someone who has 10 kudos in 10 posts. You would think that the top 1 or 2 percent, maybe even the top 5 percent in the kudos standing should all have the darkest color for the left most bar. I wonder if the "kudos" from the idea exchange count as well. It would seem that these should be a separate item. One good idea can garner 100 kudos but in terms of contributions to the community isn't the person who has posted 100 posts, each with a kudo, providing more support to the community?

Actually you need to go all the way to #45 on the all time kudo board to find the first non-dark bar (and he's never GIVEN 1 Kudo or 1 tag) so 455+0+0+solutions = Hmmmm
Kudos to you mate

I dont like it either. I went from being a Proven Active Veteran (respected by new comers) to nothing but an active participant. Talk about degrading.....
Yepp. I feel degraded ..
beeing more than 10 years on board, beeing a (proven active) veteran, felt right happy grumpy 😛
I have to say that I don't like it either.

Maybe so, but the account you use was registered in 2002. Just 22 days after I registered in 2002. So, we've only been on the board for eight years.
Being a Veteran isn't necessarily analogous to being decent at LV. After eight years, I still fling feces at the screen for a few days then hit "Build", only to stand back in amazement as LabVIEW takes control and makes my boss lots of money. Still, my case aside, loyalty and experience should count for something.

Yes, and all of that is in a total of 440 replies. I have a total of 442 (Ok, add one to each after I post this message) messages posted. I have only started 2 threads so far.

I still wonder how many user have two accounts with exactly the same name 😛
Due to some board upgrades and the former* NNTP gateway I suppose.
* Is there still a NNTP gateway to the Forum?
