Why is Constant Folding so bad? In most cases the results are the same. Only in rare cases will there be a problem. Like race conditons, we need to learn how to recognize them.

I don't think he was alluding to it being bad. He just wasn't sure why it was happening in that particular instance.

Ohh. OK. It is folded because once it hits the loop, the value stays constant.
Why do they call it Constant "Folding"? What do they mean by folding? Does the compiler make a crease in the constant, fold it in half, and tuck it away for safe keeping?

I don't think you can turn off constant folding. All you can configure is if you want to see the fuzzy wires/structures or not. 😉
