myDAQ is not recognized

Hi, I'm having an issue that was not resolved in the forum. Am using Windows 7, 64 bit, LabVIEW 2011, MAX, ELVISmx 4.3, NIDAQmx 9.4. The myDAQ was working with MAX but the DAQ Assistant was missing from LabVIEW. As suggested by NI support via phone, I uninstalled and reinstalled LabVIEW, which did not change anything, then as suggested, downloaded NIDAQmx 9.4. This solved the first problem- DAQ Assistant now appears in LabVIEW. However, now myDAQ is not recognized anymore.Device manager doesn't see it. devices.jpgMAX.jpg Any help would be welcome.

Hi Kerry2,

Chances are your NI Device Loader service is not turned on. Follow the directions in this KnowledgeBase and check to see if it is turned on. If not, go ahead and turn it on. If it isn't set to automatically start, change it to start automatically.

Hope this helps!

Hi Rohama, Thank you for your reply and good suggestion, however the NI Device loader was turned on (Automatic). This issue was resolved yesterday when a fellow student who knows more about these things than I do deleted something from my computer, then loaded something from his flashdrive. It now works fine. Sorry I don't know the specifics, but it happened rather quickly. I'll try and get the details.

Thank you so much for posting this!! I was able to get NI ELVISmx to recognize the myDAQ by following that website. Thanks!
