Can I determine / set ethernet media type on RTLabView6.1 on a PXI 8175

I have set MAX and ni-rt.ini to 10MB, half duplex and the PXI 8175 running RT6.1 may still connect at 100Mb.  Can I check the LAN settings in my LabViewRT 6.1 application code?

Hi Michael,

Thank you for posting to the National Instruments Discussion Forums.

Your PXI controller’s communication mode is configured in Measurement and Automation Explorer on your host PC. The Network Settings tab has an Advanced Ethernet Settings button to configure the communications mode for your RT target. Unless you specifically change the mode to Autonegotiate, the mode will not change to anything else.

There is no inherent way for LabVIEW to detect the Ethernet settings for a controller. However you can determine the Ethernet mode using 3rd party software such as Ethereal (a network traffic monitoring software)

Hope this helps!
