According to the User Guide, you need DAQmx 9.9 or later.  The earliest version to support DAQmx 9.9 is LabVIEW 2010 (DAQmx and LabVIEW Version Compatibility).

Cheers, that is why I having problems I am using an old 8.6.2 version
