What does a voltage reading ending in "u" mean?

Hi,

I have a NI 9211 thermocouple DAQ connected to two Type C thermocouples and two Type K. The DAQ is configured to read voltages and can receive signals of +-80mV. All four thermocouples are returning values ending in the character "u". What does this indicate?

u = micro = 10^-6.  In other words, a really small voltage.
