We have a GigE ethernet Camera TMC-1327GE Camera form pulnix. It has a LV support driver. And I was able to detect it in MAX.

But I was not able to Test it in MAX such as Snap or Grab form it any picture....

When I select it in MAX it gives an error message saying: """""Error 0XBFFF800B This session for your device could not be configured"""

I got some internal KBs talking about Administrator Access under Win... but it is not the case.

I have LV 8.2.1 and MAX 4.2 and IMAQ 3.1.1.

What Could be the solution for that problem??

I assume you mean that you have NI-IMAQdx 3.0.1. That is the most recent shipping version of the driver that support GigE Vision cameras. If you are still using NI-IMAQdx 3.0, then I would recommend that you upgrade your driver to the latest version.

The error code you mentioned suggests that the camera caused a user mode fault in the driver.

I have successfully used the TMC-1327GE in the past without problems. I would recommend that you contact your camera manufacturer and see if they have a recent firmware update. If you still have problems with the camera after a firmware upgrade, then please run the camera through the National Instruments Camera Validator utility:

cmd
cd\program files\national instruments\ni-imaqdx\utility
cameravalidator.exe /attributes /display

The utility generates a html report with an associated txt file. Forward the report back to me and I will take a look at it.

Hi everyone,

did anyone ever solve this problem?

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with a GigE Kappa Zelos 655 M, LV 2010 SP1 and IMAQdx 3.8.

Ideas?

Best regards,

Benjamin

HI,

I ve just received my kappa zelos 655C camera.

Did you ever had it to work with NI products?

On my side, I have a 0xBFF6900A error message "camera is already in use". Should I remove every kappa software?

Regards,

Matthieu

Hi,

If you open camera's software and trying to access from MAX in the same time, the resource is already in use. You have to close that software and than test it in MAX.\

Best regards,

I.R.

Hi,

I've tried this way but didn't work. I enven tried after a reboot, to be sure no session were left open in kappa software. That's why I'm wondering if I should uninstall Kappa software.

I am also wondering if the camera is really complaint to genicam... that's why I'd like to know if someone ever connected this zelos 655C to national instruments product....

Regards,

Matthieu

Did anyone manage to resolve this issue?

I have a AVT Manta G-235B that is having exactly the same problems. The odd thing is that other AVT cameras (Manta G-125B and Mako G-125B) are working fine. The frimware is up to date. The drivers on the network card are up to date. Running the cameravalidator.exe gives no results as it comes back with the same error message and does not create a log file returning "unhandled error" isntead.

Anyone have any idea?

Hi there,

As noted by DanMats, this problem is also being discussed in http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/error-when-connecting-to-Allied-vission-Manta/m-p/3262205/hig...

I solved, partiall, the problem by uninstalling the IMAQdx February 2016 release and intalled the February 2015 one.

Now the Manta camera works in MAX.

HOWEVER! It created another one. I do not see the IMAQdx VI's in LabView. It seems that the February 2015 release (version 14.5) does not come with 2015 LabView suport...

I could uninstall all the latest NI software that I have in my machine and work with the previous verssion. As this takes quite some time, I was wondering if there is another solution.

Perhaps fixing the problem with the IMAQdx latest version could take some time, right?

What do you think, any other suggestion?
