Minimize / Maximize / Restore window bug with CVI 8.5.1

Hi,

I have encountered a display bug when i want to restore a minimized application.

Some controls like toolbar, EasyTab, ... are not redrawn correctly.

I have written a simple example to reproduce the bug by performing the following actions:

  • Launch the application and maximize it,
  • Minimize the application from the minimize button (at the top right corner),
  • Restore the application by clicking on the task bar button.

How i can solve this ?

Thanks,

Manu2.

Hello Manu,

I tested your example on my computer, with the same configuration as yours, but haven't seen any problem of display.

One of my colleagues tested your application too, and had no problem either.

Could you try your example on another computer to see if the problem is not coming from your computer??

Let me know.

Thanks.

This is a known issue (#112287) that seems to appear only on Windows Vista machines with Aero effects enabled. It was originally reported by a user in this thread. The issue was fixed in version 9.0, which will be available very soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

I have done some other tests and i have notice that the bug appears:

  • on Windows 2000 SP4,
  • on Windows XP SP2 with the classic windows theme.

The bug does not appear on Windows XP SP2 with the Windows XP theme.

Best regards,

Manu2.

I cannot confirm whether the investigation and solution of the problem was tested on those two system configurations, but because of the very specific nature of the issue, it is likely that the fix solves the problem on all affected platforms.
