building application

Hi everybody,

I've created i Vi with Lab-View 7.1 and NI-vision. Now i wanted to build the application; once i've done it (bringing in the needed dlls too), and everything seemed to go right, i've brought this exe with the installer to another pc. I've installed it, and when i try to start this exe i get the error "Vi has an error of type 204E304". Does anyone have an idea about how to overcome this problem?
thx in advance

hi Uriel,

do you've installed all RunTimes you need on the PC where you installed your application?
you'll find the RunTimeEngines here.

greets!

First, tank you. then:
it still doesn't work. maybe i haven't explained myself well, so:
I want this application to run on a pc that doesn't have lab-view installed on it. My Pc have all the needed licenses, i go to application builder, add the required dlls (the vision once), build the exe, and the installer.
I lunch the installer on the second pc (the one without lab-view), and everything seems to go right, then i lunch the exe, and when it starts it gives me this error

"Vi has an error of type 204E340. the full development version of lab-view is required to fix the errors"

this, even though on my pc there was no error when i run it. Moreover this type of error doesn't show up anywhere on the help.

Now i've downloaded the LVRuntimeEng.exe and the IMAQ run-time Engine(deupdate701.exe) on the second pc (the one without lab-view); the first installed itself right, while the second couldn't be installed since it searched for a directory on the pc that didn't exist (i guess i didn't have to download it, actually it is an update).

if i install the application on my pc (the one with full lab-view and vision installed on it) it works.
Still, i cannot export this application as i wanted.

Wish you could give me a hand doing it

thx again
Uriel

Hi, as you noticed only a IMAQ run-time Engine update is freely available, you'll need to purchase IMAQ runtime licenses to install an executable that uses IMAQ libraries in a deployment PC.
Take a look at: https://www.ni.com/en/shop/data-acquisition-and-control/add-ons-for-data-acquisition-and-control/wha... p/n 778044-00.

Hope this help.
Regards.

Thanks a lot,
Maybe i'll post again (just in order to be 100% sure) as soon as we really decide to execute the program on other machines. i understood that it will cost 295 € for each machine. Please replay if i'm wrong
thx again
