RoyA,
Hello! I hope you are enjoying the Lego WeDo robots! Those products are actually supported by Lego so I will ask you to direct your questions to them. I would suggest starting at the Lego Education Support website.
I don't know much about the Lego WeDo robots, but I do know that the Lego NXT Robots can be targeted from both their Mindstorms programming environment and from the LabVIEW programming Environment by using the toolkits/modules linked below. Perhaps this is what you heard was able to be controlled from LabVIEW?

Rob_L,
Thanks. I have downloaded it and will look at it soon. Are there any other WeDo specific sites or forums out there?
Also, I am trying to find a copy of the video that was taken of the WeDo presentation during NI Week 2008 (I think). As I remember it a representative of LEGOs and one of the NI developers gave talks, then the NI guy brought his daughter on stage to demonstrate how easy it is to program WeDo. Anyone out there know where to find a copy? I have searched NI and even have an NI tech rep looking.

Those are the 2009 videos. I was referring to 2008.

RoyA,
You're correct, I found this link (http://www.ni.com/niweek/2008/keynote/lego_and_the_wedo.htm), but it sadly just forwards to the 2009 NI Week Presentations.
This looks helpful if you haven't seen it
