LabVIEW 2012 SP1?

Is there a plan when or if LV2012 SP1 should be released?

Labview 2012 f5patch was released on 2013-01-05.

Labview 2013Beta was announced for one week.

Labview 2011 SP1 was released in December 2011.

I expected 2012SP1 in December2012 or January 2013. We are now February 2013 and I cannot find it...

Will 2012SP be skipped?

I'm pretty sure that 2011 SP1 wasn't released before ~Feb 2012 and previous SP1 releases also came out around Jan-March. If a 2012 SP1 release is planned (seems likely, based on the past) and previous schedules are followed, then it would be reasonable to expect it sometime between January (obviously no longer an option) and March.

Thanks you tst.

I based my assumptions on the readme.html that is delivered with the installation.

2009SP1: December 2009

2010SP1: December 2010

2011SP1: December 2011

But I noticed that my downloads were done in the second half of February of the next year.

So I'll wait until ~25February to switch to 2012...

Thanks

The readme for the annual release has a date of June when the actual release is in August. That's probably the last time the readme is finalized before shipping the actual version.

If you want to install a new version, then I would suggest waiting until at least the beginning of March. Also, you could try contacting your local NI office directly and asking them. They might be able to tell you about estimated release dates.

I had an application working fine withe LV 8.5 FDS

I migrated to LV 2012  PDS yesteardy in since that time at any restart of the PC , when I lanch my appplication  I get  a message of the installer and then an error otf the MIcrosoft Installer

As you can see in the attached word file, the window event log tell that cwdss.exe.manifest does not exist

It is the case , but I llok to another thread of ni.com called

Why Does DataSocket Server Fail to Launch After Installing LabVIEW 2012? it is told to supress this file ....

So What should I do ?

For information on  other PC where no Pb occur , the cwdss.exe.manifest does  exist

tst is correct.

Historically we have our SP1 release between late January and early March.

The release date for LabVIEW 2011 SP1 was March 1st, and LabVIEW 2010 SP1 was released February 18th.

Unfortunately I can't discuss specifics regarding upcoming releases though.

It seems that NI have ready to release LabVIEW 2012 SP1

http://www.ni.com/white-paper/14403/en

and you can download the evaluation software using this downloader

http://download.ni.com/evaluation/labview/ekit/other/downloader/2012sp1LV-WinEng_downloader.exe

So no skip of LabVIEW Sp1.

I also wonder to know did NI fixed the fonts bug with set "Language for non-unicode programs" to other than english, or fix it in LabVIEW 2013? did some one try it?

Which bug? I have multiple computers where the OS has the language for non-Unicode programs not set to English and I'm not aware of any bug which is specific to that setup. Do you have a CAR number? That can allow NI to check.

Some fonts such as "small fonts" or "NI7SEG" can't display normally in LabVIEW 2012 with non-Unicode programs set to Chinese , just like the bug in LabVIEW 2009. It's not a big bug, but really annoying for asia language user.

It seems that ni has fixed this bug in LabVIEW 2012 SP1, life is much better now.
