altenbach.  i get stuck at the same point.  you have any luck letting it run overnight?  FYI i'm using an AMD FX8120

Has anyone tried looking into this possible solution for fixing the installer issues?

We've identified what is happening during install on AMD FX chips and have confirmed the problem is related to the LabVIEW startup problem reported earlier. The LabVIEW startup problem is corrected by following the steps in the KB referenced. We unfortunately do not have a workaround yet for the long installation time.

The installation contains two executables which take a long time to complete, somewhat proportional to the number of cores you have in your AMD FX chip set.The two executables survivie the bug and are able to complete their intended functions successfully, they are just delayed for a while due to the bug.

We will continue to look for ways to make the install run faster, but because the EXEs are fully embedded within the install code, installing the fixed dlls does not help installing, it only helps execution.

If you have a large number of cores, you can speed up the install process by telling your machine to run with two cores instead of however many it has installed. You do this via System Configuration, Boot tab, Advanced options. Once through installing, you then return the number of cores to use back to normal (i.e. all). We'll provide additional information in the KB on this workaround.

Note: DO NOT set the number of cores to one, we fail to install correctly when the number of cores used is set to one.

This instruction might not be sufficient to easily find this setting for the casual user. 😉

So more precisely, this is part of the administrative tools. Here's how it looks in Windows 7:

Have you read the messages before yours and tried any of them?

Did the installation stop, or just stall at 62%? It might be very slow, so you simply need to be patient. You also need to install the f1 patch.

Dear all,

You can see 100% of second cpu core . and ram will run out. the computer stop more than one hour. I don't have time to deal with it. the machine was already delay...

so I change the cpu. fx4100->x4 965. Everything is ok now.
