How to access digital input on 9205 module in 9172 cDAQ chassis?

I need the digital input that is available on the 9205 (slot 6 in 9172 chassis) module to monitor a float switch.  When I try to add a digital aquire task in MAX it does not show any available hardware, though I can get PFI0 as a digital trigger under my AI Task.  The 9205 manual specifies that the digital out is only available in cRIO, but does not say anything about the digital input.  Am I missing something, or are neither digital in or out available on cDAQ?  Is PFI0 as a trigger the only digital in?

The PFI line on the NI-9205 cannot be used as a static digital input line. It is mainly reserved for timing or trigger signals. In order to monitor the state of the switch, you will have to get either a static or correlated digital module which you can add to your CompactDAQ system.
