I have a LabView program for 2004 that was saved in a LLB. I believe it was made with LabView version 7.1 I am using LabView version 8.5. When I open the program I have a number of "The subVI is not executable" errors. When I investigate further it appears the subVIs that are not executable are attempting to call, for example, the Read From Spreadsheet File VI. However, rather that loading the Read From Spreadsheet File VI from the base installation directory of LabView on my computer it appears that LabView is loading the Read From Spreadsheet File VI from the LLB the program is in. How do I instruct LabView to load the built in VIs, like Read From Spreadsheet File, from the base LabView installation rather that from the library containing the outdated versions?
Thanks,
Ed

Whoever created the llb should not have included VIs from vi.lib and what you need to do is delete them from the llb.

That fixed everything in about 3 seconds, thanks a lot for the good information!
