GPS Toolkit - Build Executable with GPS toolkit

I have installed NI GPS Toolkit and I'm unable to build an executable with any GPS Toolkit VI.

Here are the steps I took.

1) Open a new PXI right out of the Box.

2) Installed LabVIEW 2010

3) Installed NI Systems driver set from Disc that came with PXI.

4) I opened LabVIEW and created a simple project with RFSG Initialize and abort.vi’s. (The Executable built and opened fine)

5) Next I installed NI Modulation Toolkit 4.2.1. Again I opened LabVIEW and created a simple project with RFSG Initialize and abort.vi’s. (The    executable built and opened fine)

6) Next I installed NI GPS Simulation Toolkit 1.5. Again I opened LabVIEW and created a simple project with RFSG Initialize and abort.vi’s.

(The Executable built, But this time did NOT find VI’s, it is asking for me to locate the VI’s).

So I’m assuming there is a problem with NI GPS Simulation Toolkit 1.5

I have attached 2 vi's

1) GPS Open Session.vi calls the niGPSv2 Open Session.vi dynamically. When opened will seach for <vilib>:\RF Toolkits\GPS\Controls\gpsv1_refnum.ctl

2) niGPSv2 Open Session.vi off the GPS Tookit palette is in test2.vi, the missing vis are list is in the attached JPG.

If anyone has GPS Toolkit installed on there PC could they try to build a simple executable with this VI?

Has anyone successfully built a working executable with NI GPS Simulation Toolkit 1.5?

If so what is the work around?

Thanks Bill

R&D can you confirm in 2009?

Build in 8.6.1 is successful BUT I get an error that does not occur in the Development Enviornment

After some Private Messages with Bill Burt a work-around was found.

Use LabVIEW version 8.6.1 Smiley Surprised and abandon all hope of building a GPS simulation TK application in LabVIEW 2010.Smiley Mad
