Create .xsl from Build Table

Solved!
Go to solution

I'm using Buil Table to print data on Front Panel, but I want to know if I can save this data on Excel or something like that, I don't know if I have to create the document or change some properties on this block, thanks everyone 🙂

I never use Express VIs, but if Build Table builds a 2-D array, you can easily use the Report Generation Toolkit to write an Excel (.xls or .xlsx, not a .xsl) file.  Look up Excel Easy Table VI and the examples showing how to use it.

Glad you found what you were looking for.  Making a text file is not the same as making an Excel (XLS) file but text files can be opened in Excel.  If you want to make a real Excel file you can use the Report Generation toolkit mentioned earlier, XLR8 has a toolkit, and the Write To Measurement File in 2013 and newer has a .xlsx option.

Yeah, I was trying with it, but I haven't installed this Toolkit 😕
