Controlling a 220VAC solenoid valve coil with PWM

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello !

I have the cDAQ-9185 Chasse in our lab, and I need a C module or a driver(if applicable) to control a 220 VAC valve directly with PWM.

I will be using the "Signal Simulation" to input a square signal and changing the duty cycle from it to generate a PWM signal simulation as an input. Will this work ?

I was looking to use NI-9481 module for this purpose, will it work ?

It is a 3 Wires cable (1 of 3 is Neutral)

Not directly because a PWM signal would be a pulsed DC at logic levels not 220Vac.

You might be able to drive a Triac circuit or possibly solid state relay with the PWM output and use that to drive the 220Vac for the valve.
