Instruments not accessible via E5810A on VISA 5.4

As mentioned here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/After-applying-fix-for-using-Agilent-E5810A-L... there exists also CAR#425003 which is directly related to TAMS LAN-GPIB Adapter.

Unfortunately this doesn't show up in the bug list...

I have already asked NI when it will be fixed. But they couldn't tell me a specific date.

Hopefully it will be fixed with the next VISA version in LabVIEW 2013 SP1.

Anybody from NI who can confirm/clarify this?

Hi everybody,

good news related to the TAMS LAN-GPIB adapter. I wanna let you know, that I downloaded and installed LabVIEW 2013 SP1 and NI Device Drivers 2014.02 that contain MAX 5.6.0f0 and NI-VISA 5.4.1 right now.

After the installation, the first thing I tried was to establish a connection to a GPIB device via TAMS LAN-GPIB adapter in MAX. Not testing any details, just a quick connection test.

Result: IT WORKS!!! (Message: "Successfully opened a VISA session to "TCPIP::.....")

So it seems that NI-VISA 5.4.1 solves this issue.

Good job, NI!

P.S.: Hope it works also with E5810A now...
