Text overlap in IE8 (double vision)

Feels like double vision.

 

Running Win7

This looks like something I saw a few months ago and first reported back in this thread.  I haven't seen it in a while.

 

Check to see if compatibility mode is turned on for you in IE8.

Hi Ravens,

 

Compatibility mode was not turned ON.  I just turned it ON now.

I usually browse using Firefox, so IE not typically not my first choice of browser.

 

I will check out your thread.

I used to see something similar but not quite so bad fairly often.  However, I've checked multiple other computers and so has Lithium and I could never reproduce any where but on my computer so I figured it was something very specific to me. I will report that you are seeing the issue too. I sometimes found it would go away as I resized the width of my browser window.  I can't get the problem to happen as easily now.

It happens with or without Compatibility Mode turned ON.  With it turned ON, it appears to be less apparent.  However, I did notice something else.  All the first post in a page is offset at the top.   This happens consistently.   See below:
